The Tidewater Council provides several levels of training.

  1. Fast Start Training intended to help you immediately get started in you new leadership position.
  2. This is Scouting is the on-line course to introduce you to the Boy Scout programs.
  3. Venturing Leader Specific Training will orient you to how the Boy Scouts of America operates, valuable resources available to you, and how to be a better leader in your role as a Venturing leader.
  4. Youth Protection Training for Venturing will orient you to how to work with youth in a safe environment and some of the problems youth face today.
  5. Supplemental Training are training sessions that are helpful to a Venturing Leader. You will want to continually check out these offerings throughout you tenure as a Venturing leader.
  6. Wood Badge is advanced training in leadership skills for all Scouters.
