DISTRICT DINNER
At the District Dinner on March 20th we will be honoring the outstanding volunteers in the district. This dinner is for all units to attend and enjoy the fellowship and honor those people who have made major contributions to the youth in Norfolk. You will be receiving the information flyer at the February Roundtable. The cost is to attend is $12/person.
SPRING CAMPOREE
The Spring Camporee is scheduled for the weekend of 16-18 April. The youth has decided on the theme of Medieval Times. I hope that your troop has this on its scheduled and plan on attending this event. Ken Strothers and Scott Guest are chairing this event. The next meeting is Sunday March 7.
DAY CAMP
Matt Arnold and Marianne West are busy planning the Powhatan Day Camp. They would like to make a presentation regarding Day Camp at your Blue & Gold, so please send that information to Richard Becker so he can let them know when it is. Over the next couple of months Matt and Marianne will be asking several of you to serve on staff for the entire week of Day Camp. They need people to man the crafts, science, and shooting sports on a daily basis. We need someone who can work the entire week so there is consistence and easy of training. If we would like to offer the pool to the boys, we need someone to attend National Camp School for Aquatics. Having someone trained and at camp when the boys are in the pool is required for safety reasons. If you are interested, contact Richard Becker.
