TIDEWATER COUNCIL APPROVED
CUB SCOUT FAMILY CAMPING LOCATIONS
AS OF January 2, 2007Listed below are the sites/locations that have been inspected and approved by the Tidewater Council Camping Committee that can be used by Cub Scout Packs for a family camping outing. These sites/locations can be used by Cub Scout Packs when the required BSA tour permit form has been properly filled out and submitted to the Tidewater Council office. The other required Cub Scout Pack family camping prerequisites must have been met (including properly trained leadership) as well. It is highly recommended that a representative from the unit visit the location to see if it will meet the needs of the unit and their planned activities.

Please note that we cannot conduct approvals of sites that are located outside the council boundaries unless the facilities are owned by the Tidewater Council.Additionally, we must follow the National Standards, and we use this form, which you can download. A mandatory standard per this form is not optional and a site must be in compliance with all the mandatory standards. Our council is not allowed to change the policies, doing so, could jeopardize safety, and we will comply with safety and policies of the National Council, Boy Scouts of America.
This form can also be used by individuals who wish to submit or self-review a site to gain possible approval for locations.
